Street Food the snack we all love

You wake up in the morning to go to work, walk out of your door and then you see it. The beautiful colors of freshly fried and grilled food that you love. You look to your right, and see steam from the boiling soup that is being prepared by the owner of a noodle cart. You ordered all your favorites and walked to the bus station, but then just after you crossed the street, you smelled the inviting aroma from a hot dog stand.
Most of us experience this lovely welcome as we start our day. Our ever dependable street food saving us from the hassle of preparing breakfast every morning. In our very fast paced life, having food that is mostly available 24/7, is a big help. That is one of the reason we love it.
But the best reason is street food is simply delicious! From hot dog to dimsum, gyros to fish and chips, we all have our own pick. It really depends on ones' taste, but I advice you to try more exotic ones' that you can take.
Some tips before buying your street food:
1. Make sure that the utensils used in the cart is clean.
2. Check if the raw or cooked food still looks fresh.
3. Be patient while ordering. Most food carts, specially in crowded places tends to have long lines.
4. If trying a dish for the first time, eat just a small portion. If you like it, then you can order more.
I can easily tell which food cart is offering the good stuff. If people line up to buy it, then surely it is good!
It's almost 12:00 in the morning here, and I am craving for some grilled meat. Better go out and buy some from my neighbor's cart.
Do you often eat Street Food?

Thanks for the vote up Leroyworld! Sad to hear that there's just few street vendors there in Texas. Maybe when you get to travel to other states, you'll find more of them. Yes, I'm putting the names of the food right now.
Done with naming the street food Leroyworld. Hope you will soon find some of them, and enjoy it like I do. :)
Thank you.
The balut and quail eggs look interesting. We don't see anything but chicken eggs around here unless it's in a high end restaurant. The bagels look very different from what I am used to. We could use a few street vendors around here.
The eggs are really interesting and very yummy! That's common in most South East Asian countries. Those bagels are the kind sold in New York. :)
What, no balut? Just as well, the Americans wouldn't understand its appeal anyway. Voting this Up and Interesting.
Thank you alocsin.I think they are missing a lot from not trying balut. :)
This is definitely something that is far more common in Asia and I love it! Unfortunately the UK health and licensing laws make it almost impossible (or at least expensive) for street vendors to operate. Food stools are fun and social, I hope it never gets closed down in Asia.
Thanks for SHARING, up and awesome.
Yes, it's fun here in the Philippines because of our food stands. We call it street food cause it's available anywhere. Yeah, I heard that UK is strict when it comes to health regulations and it's sad cause your missing a lot of good stuff :) I don't think our food stands here will ever be closed it is a part of our culture. People in Asian countries enjoy this snack because we are always on the go and it's practical to get food this way. I love sharing this and thanks for the compliment. :D

This is interesting to me. There are very few street vendors where I live in Texas. I wish we had more; but, we don't. Voted up.
Some of the items - I recognize. There are some I am curious about because they are not seen in my city. It would be nice if you could identify the names of the street foods in the photograph captions.
